We are staffed by our members, offering a variety of opportunities to engage with the community studio. We carry a selection of work by local artists and small manufacturing, and we offer a variety of creative learning opportunities for students and professionals from the two campuses, community members and visitors. The home base of the Alfred Art Walk, the space serves as a focal point for the Alfred art community.

This cooperative venture is an opportunity for community members and visitors alike to experience and participate in Alfred’s world-renowned ceramics culture. The ceramics studio and classroom space offer an opportunity to “get your hands dirty,” in classes and workshops for all levels. Production studio produce limited edition “Made in Alfred, NY” objects for sale in regional locations. The gallery provides access to the work of our rich community of artists and emerging talent.

Sharing and supporting the space are local residents, spouses of graduate students, and freshly graduated art students who need a soft place to land. The center provides studio space and employment for those not yet ready to set up a studio of their own. Members of the Studio have the opportunity to gain vital artist life experience though exhibition opportunity, online and retails sales, teaching, studio management, production and commission.
